Holidays Celebration
A SEASON OF UNITY: HOLIDAY CELEBRATION 2024
Rockland Leaders and Community Gather at Konbit Neg Lakay.
The heart of Rockland County Haiti Relief has always been our community. This past holiday season, we gathered at the Konbit Neg Lakay Community Center to celebrate our progress, our people, and the shared bond between Rockland and the Haitian-American community.
Strength in Partnership
We were honored to be joined by a distinguished group of local and state leaders who have consistently stood by our mission. Their presence underscores the importance of the work we do both here and in Haiti.
A special thank you to:
Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht and the entire board.
County Executive Ed Day and State Senator Bill Weber.
Congressman Michael Lawler and Senator Charles Schumer.
Our dedicated teachers, the Sisters of Our Lady of Christian Doctrine, and corporate partners like Veolia.
Our Local Roots
While much of our work happens internationally, celebrations like this remind us that our strength starts at home. From providing winter coats to supporting literacy and healthcare training, the Haitian-American community of Rockland is a vibrant, essential part of the county we call home.
As we look toward the new year, we carry this spirit of love and collaboration with us. Together, we are building a legacy of hope that stretches from Rockland County to the shores of Haiti and the Bateys of the DR.
